Nalin Samath is a versatile musician and a multi-instrumentalist who can adapt himself to any style and genre of music including Pop, Rock, Fusion, Jazz, Blues, Latin/Salsa or Oriental. He has produced, recorded and toured with many top-ranked, award-winning Asian bands. On an international level, Nalin has worked with Morton Hackett (of A-Ha), world renowned cellist Jean Decroos, played bass with the Amsterdam Chamber Orchestra, and backed Asha Bhostle from India.
Besides touring Canada, UK, Cyprus, and Zambia, Nalin has a considerable following in Dubai due to his gigs at the Quality Inn with the band “Revelation,” which won the ‘International Battle of the Bands’ Award in 2003. Nalin has been performing in the U.A.E. since 2002 in various pubs, clubs and concert halls for events and corporate functions. At the moment he is performing at the Belgian Beer Cafe at the Crowne Plaza as a duo.
He achieved Trinity Collège Diploma in Music Teaching (DipRSL) at Level 4 in June 2012 and the Trinity College Rock school grade 8 exam (Electric guitar) in December 2008. He has been giving individual instrumental lessons at six GEMS schools from mid-2008 onwards, and went on to work with GEMS Music Academy from its onset as a permanent acoustic/electric and bass guitar teacher. He uses the Trinity Rock School rock and pop syllabus for teaching and sends students for exams as well as performance ensembles every year.
